Farm School Preschool Teacher

Overview

Secret Valley Farm School is a 20 acre ranch that operates as a parent participation preschool & homeschool program. Classes for 2-6 year olds are held in our barnyard.

Hours/Schedule:

8:30am-1:30pm on Tuesdays

** Substitute Position Potentially Available on Wednesdays 8:30am-5pm**

Responsibilities

• Lead circle time
• Provide themed sensory, crafting, and educational activities with an agriculture focus
• Lead nature walks around the farm
• Facilitate safe interactions between children and animals (pony, goats, chickens, ducks, etc)
• Help students with basic animal care duties
• Lesson planning
• Lesson prep (for self and next teacher/class)
• Communicate with families
• Cleaning of learning areas and materials

Requirements

• Degree/Early childhood Ed credits NOT required but preferred
• Enjoy working with children and building community
• Love animals
• Love being outdoors
• Experience in agriculture a bonus
• Positive attitude
• Dependable with Reliable Transportation
• Clean DOJ Background Check
