Farmers Market Sales Associate and Coffee Brand Ambassador

Job Overview
Romantics Coffee Roasters are seeking a fun, energetic and positive person to fill in at farmers markets in Little Italy on Wednesday's, Chula Vista on Sunday's and/or special events.

At our busier markets we need 3/4 team members working. Onsite we brew fresh batches of hot coffee, espresso drinks and specialty cold brew lattes. Additionally we sell bags of our roasted beans and merch at the booth. To begin, you will be responsible for the register and making hot coffee.

The right person will thrive off the energy of the market and has a passion for the vision of the company. We want someone who is trustworthy, honest, punctual, passionate about coffee and educating people about our mission. The ideal candidate wants to take ownership of this position and grow into a bigger role within the company. We have big plans for our small business and would love to onboard someone who is eager to be a part of the bigger picture.

Romantics Coffee LLC is a coffee roasting company selling at farmers markets, pop-up events and an online sales, with plans of a brick-and-mortor in the future.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner to promote brand awareness and loyalty.
• Operate POS systems and cash registers efficiently during transactions.
• Brew and serve hot coffee as needed
• Train new team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
• Implement upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Anticipate needs at the market within the booth, i.e. refilling the ice bin, replacing empty milk cartons, clearing customer trash bins, etc.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or retail environments, preferably as a Brand Ambassador or similar role within specialty coffee.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Proficient in operating cash registers and POS systems.
• Ability to supervise team activities while fostering a positive work environment.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing the customer experience.
• Passion for the brand and its products, with an eagerness to learn more about industry trends.

Pay: $18 +tips
