Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Fashion Design Faculty Member to join our Polytechnic College. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, developing curriculum, and staying updated with industry trends. The ideal candidate should have both academic and practical experience in fashion and textile design, pattern making, garment construction, and CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach diploma-level courses in Fashion Design / Fashion Technology, including theory and practical sessions.
• Instruct students in areas such as:
• Textile Science
• Fashion Illustration
• Pattern Making & Garment Construction
• Fashion Merchandising
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for Fashion
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and project work aligned with the curriculum.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and industrial training.
• Assess student performance through exams, practicals, assignments, and presentations.
• Contribute to curriculum updates and academic planning.
• Organize workshops, fashion shows, exhibitions, and guest lectures.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate them into teaching.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and institutional development activities.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design / Fashion Technology / Textile Design (with First Class) from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching or industry experience.

Preferred:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Fashion Design / M.F.Tech / M.Des.
• Knowledge of current fashion software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, TUKAtech).
• Familiarity with the AICTE / State Board guidelines for Polytechnic education.

• Creativity and aesthetic sense in fashion design.
• Technical proficiency in garment construction and CAD tools.
• Student mentorship and classroom management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and industry professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
