Fashion Designer

Location: Chembur, MumbaiReporting To: Founder / Creative DirectorMissionTo closely translate the Creative Director’s vision into refined, market-ready collections, leading one key product category and ensuring flawless execution and daily design operations in line with Basil Leaf’s brand values.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and present mood boards, seasonal concepts, and cohesive design stories for Western wear collections.
• Convert approved mood boards into commercially viable, collections.
• Immerse in and study Basil Leaf’s design archive to deeply understand the brand identity, DNA, and aesthetic continuity.
• Lead, mentor, and guide junior designers to maintain high standards and consistency in design language and execution.
• Manage workflow, ensuring clarity between daily feedback and final creative approvals.
• Collaborate with sampling and production teams to ensure design intent is maintained from concept to finished product.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience designing women's Western apparel, with a strong portfolio in Linen outfits or dresses category.
• Preference for profiles with demonstrated loyalty—should have worked at least 3 years with a single brand.
• Strong execution skills: a detail-oriented designer who thrives on bringing a Creative Director’s vision to life, rather than pushing their own concepts.
• Must be skilled at translating mood boards and creative briefs into commercially successful designs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
