FATE a women’s fashion import wholesale company, is looking for a Designer to join our team.

We work with Young Contemporary–style collections, including both our in-house brands and various company brand lines.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer based in COMMERCE, CA. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for creating and developing original fashion designs, selecting appropriate textiles, and ensuring excellent fitting for a diverse clientele. The role will also involve working with embroidery techniques to enhance designs and overseeing the end-to-end design process, from concept to final product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience as an Import Designer
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and the manufacturing process
• Proficiency in fitting and tailoring techniques
• Experience with embroidery and embellishment techniques
• Advanced skills in CAD programs (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience communicating and following up with overseas vendors
• Familiarity with design follow-up for boutique buyers or company buyers
• Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• A strong vision and passion to grow as a fashion design professional
• Fashion industry experience and a strong portfolio preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation

• Hourly Pay: Starting at $30/hour, commensurate with experience
• Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Paid Sick Days: Available after a 3-month probation period
• Friday Lunch: Provided by the company
• 401(k): Available for employees after 1 year of employment
