About the Role

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with 3 - 4 years of experience in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate should have prior exposure to either a buying house or factory environment, with a strong ability to design collections from concept to execution. The role requires someone with an excellent eye for design, a deep understanding of fabrics and trends, and the capability to handle multiple aspects of the design and development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal collections from concept to final sample, including mood boards, sketches, fabric and trim selection, and color stories.

• Conduct trend and market research to align designs with international fashion directions, especially for French and European buyers.

• Coordinate closely with merchandising, sampling, and production teams to ensure timely development and quality outcomes.

• Manage fabric sourcing, follow-up with vendors, and maintain detailed design documentation.

• Prepare digital presentations and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.

• Set up and maintain showroom displays for buyer meetings and collection presentations.

• Visit factories for sampling, follow-ups, and approvals as required.

• Maintain flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design from a recognized institute.

• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in a buying house or factory-based design role.

• Strong knowledge of fabric types, silhouettes, trims, and finishes.

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva for design and presentation work.

• Good understanding of international fashion markets, particularly French and European buyers.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.

• Strong sense of color, proportion, and design aesthetics.

• Willingness to travel for factory visits and production coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
