Summary

Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate stock.
Establish and enforce cost control measures to ensure profitable food and beverage operations.
Develop and implement menu pricing strategies in accordance with market trends and customer preferences.
Track food and beverage sales, expenses, and waste to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Train and supervise staff in proper handling, storage, and usage of food and beverage inventory.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Liaise with vendors to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate financial records and produce regular reports for management.
Continuously analyze and optimize food and beverage operations to achieve optimal efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but some employers may prefer a college degree in hospitality or business administration. Additionally, candidates should have experience working in the food and beverage industry, usually in a supervisory role. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory, budgeting, purchasing and cost analysis for the food and beverage operations. Strong communication, organization and mathematical skills are essential. To excel in this role, candidates should be detail-oriented and possess a passion for the industry.
