JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Greeting Guests: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for their dining experience.
- Managing Reservations: Handle reservations efficiently, ensuring that the seating arrangements are organized and accommodating to guests’ preferences.
- Seating Guests: Assign tables to guests based on their party size and preferences, while considering the flow of service and the restaurant’s layout.
- Maintaining Waitlists: Keep an accurate waitlist during busy periods, communicating estimated wait times to guests and ensuring they are informed throughout the process.
- Providing Information: Offer guests information about the menu, daily specials, and restaurant policies, enhancing their dining experience and helping them make informed choices.
- Coordinating with Staff: Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and timely service, contributing to a cohesive team environment.
- Handling Customer Inquiries: Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Managing the Host Stand: Maintain an organized and clean host stand, ensuring that menus, reservation books, and other materials are readily available and presentable.
