Core Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Welcome diners, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
  • Order Taking: Answer menu questions, offer recommendations (up-selling), and take accurate food and drink orders.
  • Communication: Relay orders and dietary modifications accurately to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Table Service: Serve food and beverages, check on guest satisfaction, and clear tables throughout the meal.
  • Billing: Deliver checks, process payments via POS (Point of Sale) systems, and manage cash or card transactions.
  • Hygiene & Upkeep: Set tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware. Maintain dining area cleanliness according to health and safety standards. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Interpersonal Skills: A polite, positive, and customer-focused attitude with excellent active listening skills.
  • Communication: Fluency in English (and often additional languages) to communicate effectively with diverse guests and staff.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to stand and walk for long hours, as well as lift and carry heavy trays.
  • Attention to Detail & Memory: A sharp memory for orders and a keen eye to ensure table settings and orders are correct.
  • Experience & Education: Prior experience in the hospitality industry, formal vocational training (e.g., in Food & Beverage), and familiarity with POS software.
  • Adaptability: The ability to multitask, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure during busy shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
