Position Overview:
The QC Manager is a key role, responsible for managing, coordinating, and scheduling all QC technicians and Projects for FDOT and FDOT Specification Projects. The ideal candidate is a reliable, trustworthy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where both collaboration and autonomy are valued.
Responsibilities:

Perform QC Manager duties per FDOT 105 specification.

Compile logbooks, QC plans, and job guide schedules

Provide project management and contractor quality control FDOT projects, including budget revoew and communication with contractors.

Provide problem-solving and resolution on project issues.

Create proposals and work orders for all DOT projects that arise.

Identify safety concerns on project sites

Coordinates personnel and equipment with branch

Turn in required paperwork daily

Regular attendance is required

Must be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs. Overnight and weekend schedules may be necessary.

Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent with a completed welding certificate program or vocational training.

5+ years of experience, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, and basic computer literacy.

Active International Code Council (ICC) Certifications: Masonry, Soils, Spray-Applied Fireproofing, Post?Tension, Concrete, etc. or EIT (Engineer-in-Training) licensure. CWI certification, preferred.

Strong mathematical, time management, and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active CTQP Certifications such as: Concrete field technician 1, Earthwork level 1, Earthwork level 2, QC Manager, Pile driving, Drilled shaft, Asphalt Paving level 1 & 2.

Previous experience in the industry
Travel Requirements:
- This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business
objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may
be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and
use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
