Days and work schedule may vary to meet the needs of the program; not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
The America Reads Program Coach is responsible for delivering the Read Better Be Better (RBBB) before-school and/or after-school literacy program. The Program Coach will work with another designated RBBB adult leader on site, guiding the program and creating a safe, engaging space for up to 32 students.
The Program Coach may facilitate the RBBB K–1 program and/or the 2–3 program. The RBBB K–1 program pairs kindergarten and 1st-grade Readers with 4th- and 5th-grade Leaders; the RBBB 2–3 program pairs 2nd- and 3rd-grade Readers with middle school Leaders.
MISSION: Read Better Be Better connects young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and leadership.
In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Experience working with children in groups in an educational, tutoring, mentoring, or program facilitation setting.
