FedEx Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are currently hiring regular full-time FedEx Delivery drivers with relevant driving experience and a strong work ethic to deliver packages to local residences and businesses. A CDL license is not required.

Previous experience as a Local Driver, Route Driver, Truck Driver, Courier, Pick Up Driver, or Delivery Driver is advantageous. Experience driving for companies such as UPS, Amazon, previous FedEx contractors, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, Lyft, Limo, or similar is also a plus. We have urgent openings and are hiring immediately.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record.
• Pass a DOT physical and drug screen (company paid).
• Ability to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with a hand truck.
• Must pass a FedEx Ground criminal background check. Please be accurate in your representation of your background. The background check includes a look back of 10 years for any felony, DUI, or DWI.
• You must have reliable transportation to and from work, be punctual and ready to work.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Must be willing to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
• At least one year of driving experience using a box truck or step van is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Follow company dress code; Company-provided uniform.

Daily Duties:

• Operate your vehicle safely at all times.
• Deliver and pick up packages to and from businesses and residences. Drivers are expected to make up to 150 stops per day.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels.
• Load the vehicle for deliveries and organize daily loads.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain effective communication with the manager.
• Accurately operate a scanner to track the delivery process.
• Ensure the accurate disposition of package deliveries and pickups, which is critical to our integrity.
• Consistently complete the entire route in a timely manner.

• 10-hour shift

• 5 to 6 Day Work Week
• Must have weekend availability.
