FedEx Ground Delivery Driver

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks as needed.
• Deliver parcels to residential and commercial addresses promptly, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with recipients and addressing any delivery questions or concerns.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS or route maps to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation throughout each shift.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure the vehicle is always in top condition.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred.
• Prior delivery driver experience or courier background is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift heavy packages regularly and perform physical tasks such as moving boxes, loading trucks, and stacking pallets.
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus; certification is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles and handling various types of delivery equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices, safety procedures, and warehouse operations is advantageous. Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
