GENERAL PURPOSE: Load, inspect, count, seal and/or palletize packed finished goods in cases. Prepare cases for warehousing or shipping.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Checks machine schedules; prepares corrugated cases for production lines.
- Follow instructions provided by line operator, lead, supervisor and/or manager.
- Places cartons in feed maintaining proper stack height and carton direction.
- Maintains packing station with pallets and sealing tape.
- Change pallets and/or loads.
- Perform quality inspection of material to ensure product quality to the customer.
- Assist operator in maintain production and quality.
- Applies case label to corrugated case and securely seals case when full.
- Stacks pallets uniformly at required height.
- Prepares load ticket for pallet count.
- Participates in line clearance procedures after each item is run.
- Operates manual pallet jack.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Stand on feet up to 12 hours per day.

Must have the ability to read and write instructions and correspondence.

Use hands for simple and power grasping as well as push and pull.

Use a hand operated pallet jack to move pallets of material.

Attention to fine detail with printing, cutting and gluer issues.

Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Must pass color vision test.

Must be able to maintain good attendance.
