Feild Support Analyst 1

Position Overview

Bloc Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Field Support Analyst 1 (Billing Analyst I) to support billing operations for lighting, utility, and smart service programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate billing of customer accounts, supporting compliance requirements, and resolving billing discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will have 0–3 years of experience in billing, customer service, or administrative support, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and customers, contributing to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Billing Operations

  • Coordinate billing activities to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for lighting, utility, and service accounts
  • Support billing for regulated, unregulated, and governmental customers
  • Establish new customer accounts and apply appropriate rate and rider combinations
  • Process one-time and recurring billing for contracts, including new and modified agreements

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams including Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, Pricing & Rates, and Meter Data Management
  • Collaborate with Lighting Services, Materials, and Coordination teams to ensure accurate billing data
  • Support communication across departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Compliance & Documentation

  • Review contracts and billing records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation across systems such as CSS, LAMP, Power Services Database, and Documentum
  • Perform quality control checks and support monthly compliance activities

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze billing data, customer accounts, and historical records to identify discrepancies and trends
  • Interpret contracts and tariffs such as Energy Outdoor Lighting (EOL) and Time of Use (TOU)
  • Research and retrieve historical data for audits, adjustments, and reporting

Billing Adjustments & Issue Resolution

  • Investigate billing discrepancies and resolve customer disputes in a timely manner
  • Process billing adjustments in compliance with policies and approval requirements
  • Perform offline calculations and validation using internal systems

Customer Support & Collections

  • Provide support to internal and external customers regarding billing inquiries
  • Assist with collections efforts, including contacting customers regarding past-due invoices
  • Support the sales team by enhancing customer value and satisfaction

New Business & Process Support

  • Assist in onboarding new business accounts and updating billing processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to billing and customer service operations

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • 0–3 years of experience in billing, customer service, administrative support, or related field
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) required
  • Exposure to billing systems or utility environments is a plus

  • Ability to analyze data sets and generate reports
  • Experience with systems such as LAMP, Documentum, or similar tools is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in utility, energy, or regulated service environments
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial contracts and billing structures
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and audit processes
  • Exposure to customer service, collections, or sales support functions

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based role with extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and report on-site as needed
