Felony Prosecutor position opening effective immediately.
Major duties include responsibility for low-level felony cases, including juvenile and revocation dockets: Handles low-level felony criminal (adult and juvenile) cases with minimal supervision from intake through trial. Performs a variety of complex, independent duties in conjunction with court trials, including performing discovery, evaluating legal theories and principles, performing research, etc. Prepares for and attends pre-trial hearings, arraignments, revocation hearings, and bond docket calls; Negotiates pleas with defense attorneys Tries cases before jury or Judge.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of law Current membership and good standing in the State Bar of Texas 2 years experience as a prosecutor (or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities).
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
