FEMALE ARAB ACCOUNTANT (with Construction Experience)

Job Title: ARABIC FEMALE ACCOUNTANT (w/ Construction Industry)
Location: to be Assigned in Head Office - Sharjah
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Arabic Female Accountant with a minimum of 7 years of accounting experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project accounting, job costing, financial reporting, budgeting, VAT compliance, and cost control within a construction environment. Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Monitor project budgets, job costing, project expenditures, and profitability analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Process subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, progress billings, and client invoicing.
• Track project costs and conduct variance analysis to identify financial risks and cost overruns.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Procurement Teams regarding project financial performance.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
• Reconcile supplier, subcontractor, and customer accounts.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payment records.

Requirements

• Female Arabic national
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, budgeting, and cost control.
• Experience handling subcontractor accounts, retention, and progress billing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA will be an advantage.
• Experience working with construction contracting companies in the UAE/GCC.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Odoo, or similar platforms.
