Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Care and Consultation:
- Conduct initial consultations to assess clients’ health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals.
- Identify dosha imbalances and recommend appropriate Ayurvedic treatments and lifestyle changes.
2. Administering Ayurvedic Therapies:
- Perform Ayurvedic treatments, including but not limited to:
- Abhyanga (oil massage)
- Shirodhara (oil therapy)
- Panchakarma therapies (detox procedures)
- Udwarthanam (herbal powder massage)
- Kizhi (herbal compress)
- Nasya (nasal cleansing)
- Facial and beauty treatments using Ayurvedic products.
- Ensure all therapies are delivered with professionalism and adherence to Ayurvedic principles.
3. Women's Health Specialization (Optional):
- Provide prenatal, postnatal, and fertility-support therapies tailored to women's needs.
- Address issues related to menstrual health, hormonal imbalances, and stress management.
4. Hygiene and Safety:
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of treatment areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols to ensure client and therapist well-being.
5. Client Education:
- Advise clients on Ayurvedic diets, daily routines, and self-care practices.
- Promote a holistic lifestyle by teaching yoga, meditation, and relaxation techniques (if trained).
6. Administrative Duties:
- Maintain detailed client records, including treatment plans and progress.
- Schedule appointments and manage client follow-ups.
- Support the team in creating wellness programs and promotions.
7. Professional Development:
- Stay updated on Ayurvedic advancements and participate in ongoing training.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Key Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Diploma or degree in Ayurveda or a related field from a recognized institution.
- DHA License and eligibility/MOH/HAAD license is required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 of experience in Ayurvedic therapies and treatments.
- Specialization in women’s health or beauty therapies is a plus.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles and practices.
- Skilled in hands-on therapies and preparation of herbal oils/pastes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to client needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
