· Greeting customers as they enter.
· Providing customers with drink menus and answering their questions regarding ingredients and product.
· Taking orders while paying attention to details (e.g preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar etc,)
· Prepare beverages following recipes.
· Serve beverages and prepared food, cookies, pastries and muffins etc.
· Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
· Keep the bar area clean at all time.
· Report for duty ten minutes early with clean attire.
· Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates.
· Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
· Comply with health and safety regulations given by the company.
· Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
· Does not leave the area of work without notifying the Captain/Supervisor /restaurant in-charge.
· Follow the policies and procedures of the Department as SOP Manual.
· Double check all items received from the stores and ensure this corresponds with the requisition form.
· Make sure that all food and beverage items are picked up as required.
· To attend all Hotel’s Training as requested by the management.
· To ensure that house rules are followed.
· To be aware of all emergency procedures.
· To promote team work within the department & ensure equality at workplace is maintained without sexual discrimination and harassment.
· To strictly adhere to the Hotel’s Policy on Confidentiality and Ethics and all Hotels Food & Beverage Standards.
· Fully aware of the Room Service and other outlets menu, answers questions on menu selections, communicates with the kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability.
· To perform all other tasks as requested by management.
· The set service standards to be followed while serving the guest.
· To strictly adhere to the hotel’s policy/procedures and all Hotels Food & Beverage Standards.
· Keeps concerned departments informed about the guest allergies and food preferences.
· Ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
· Picks-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area
· Attend service briefings prior to each meal period.
· Know the restaurant menu and Specials of the day.
· If required assist in bringing food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Handle all guest complaints in a professional manner.
· To clear and re-set tables according to instructions.
· Report any theft or damages to Supervisor/Captain
· Report to Supervisor or Captain before completion of the shift.
· Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions
· Able to report for duty punctually, wearing a correct and clean uniform and name badge at all times.
· Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to AED1,500.00 per month
