About the Role
The Business Development Executive for Live is responsible for driving seller acquisition, partnerships, and revenue growth for eBay’s live commerce platform and different social media platforms. This role focuses on identifying high-potential sellers, brands, and influencers, onboarding them to eBay Live, and supporting their success through strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities
Seller & Partner Acquisition
- Develop outreach strategies to onboard live-stream sellers across priority categories (e.g., collectibles, fashion).
- Pitch the value proposition of eBay Live to prospective partners.
Account Management & Growth
- Manage a portfolio of live sellers to ensure performance, engagement, and revenue targets are met.
- Provide strategic guidance on live content planning, merchandising, pricing, and promotions.
- Analyze seller performance metrics and recommend growth strategies.
Partnership Development
- Build relationships with agencies, influencers, and brand partners.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing to execute co-branded live events.
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor live commerce trends and competitor platforms.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging categories.
- Provide feedback to product teams on seller needs and feature enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Seller Experience, and Operations teams.
- Support launch initiatives and category expansion strategies.
- Represent eBay Live at industry events and trade shows.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, marketplace growth, or account management.
- Experience in e-commerce, live commerce, digital marketplaces, or creator economy.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing KPIs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with sellers on platforms like eBay, Amazon, Whatnot, or TikTok.
- Familiarity with collectibles, luxury goods, fashion.
- Experience in influencer or creator partnerships.
