Female Caregiver Needed – Hospice Client (South San Jose)

We are seeking a compassionate, intuitive, and experienced female caregiver to support a lovely hospice client with mild dementia in South San Jose. This role requires someone with a gentle presence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to meet the client where she is each day.

This is not just task-based care — we are looking for someone with the right touch. Care would start this Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Morning wake-up and assistance with dressing
• Standby assist with toileting and showering
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner (must be confident in the kitchen and comfortable cooking from scratch)
• Provide companionship while honoring client’s pace and comfort level
• Light housekeeping
• Recognize when to gently encourage participation and when to step back if client is fatigued or not feeling well

Requirements:

• Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) – active and in good standing
• TB test completed within the last 2 years (proof required)
• Dementia and hospice experience preferred
• Strong meal preparation skills (home-style, nourishing meals)
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Patient, emotionally aware, dependable, and calm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
