Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our manufacturing company in the UAE. The ideal candidate with at least 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably within the manufacturing sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and manufacturing costs.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Monitor and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Process payroll-related accounting entries and employee reimbursements.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE statutory requirements.
• Support management with financial analysis and operational reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing company is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in inventory accounting and cost accounting is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) will be an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.
