Job Summary
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and workspaces. The role ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests, residents, or staff while following organizational standards and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels
- Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitize surfaces
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, tissues, and beverages
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items to supervisors
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with laundry duties when required
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Physically fit to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods
- Basic communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and products is an advantage
Working Conditions
- May involve shift work, weekends, and holidays
- Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks
