We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant / Specialist (MD) to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive women's health services, manage obstetric cases in an outpatient setting, provide gynecological care, and ensure excellence in patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
This role is suited for a dedicated OB/GYN professional who values teamwork, patient-centered care, and continuous professional development in a supportive clinical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesObstetric Care (Outpatient)
- Provide complete antenatal and postnatal care.
- Manage both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies in the clinic setting.
- Identify complicated pregnancies and make timely referrals to appropriate higher-level facilities when necessary.
- Handle outpatient obstetric concerns and ensure patient safety through timely clinical decisions.
Gynecological Care
- Perform comprehensive gynecological evaluations, breast exams, and cervical cancer screenings.
- Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions including menstrual disorders, PCOS, infertility, fibroids, and pelvic infections.
- Conduct minor office procedures such as Pap smear, colposcopy, biopsies, and IUD insertion/removal.
- Manage menopausal and reproductive health concerns with patient-centered counseling.
General Duties
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations and ultrasound scans (if certified).
- Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation according to DOH and facility standards.
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and CME activities.
Qualifications Required
- Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, MBBCh, or equivalent).
- Completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) license or eligibility as Consultant or Specialist.
- Board certification or equivalent (Arab Board, American Board, Canadian, UK CCT, Fach Arzt, etc.).
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-management skills.
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
Consultant-Level Requirements (if applying as Consultant)
- Completed board/fellowship training recognized by DOH.
- 2–5 years post-board independent experience (according to DOH criteria).
- Demonstrated expertise in managing high-risk obstetric and complex gynecologic cases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training (Maternal–Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology).
- Experience in a hospital or multi-specialty medical center.
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP is an advantage.
- Advanced ultrasound or procedural skills.
