Key ResponsibilitiesA personal secretary in a travel-intensive role will have duties extending beyond traditional office administration:
- Travel Management: Arranging all aspects of international travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation, and preparing detailed itineraries.
- Documentation: Ensuring all necessary travel documents (visas, passports, etc.) are organized, current, and ready for both the executive and themselves.
- Calendar and Schedule Management: Coordinating complex business and personal calendars across multiple time zones.
- Logistical Support Overseas: Providing seamless support during travel, which might include managing logistics, coordinating meetings with global clients, and handling unexpected barriers.
- Confidentiality and Discretion: Handling highly confidential personal and business information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Assisting with a variety of personal and professional tasks as required by the principal, which can range from event coordination to managing personal errands.
