Job Summary
We are seeking a courteous and organized Hospital Receptionist with 2–3 years of relevant healthcare experience to manage front-desk operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while maintaining accuracy in administrative and patient-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and empathetic manner
- Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out procedures
- Verify patient details, insurance information, and referral documents
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries; route calls to appropriate departments
- Maintain and update patient records in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or EMR software
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for smooth patient flow
- Collect fees, generate receipts, and manage billing-related documentation as required
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA standards
- Manage waiting areas to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and orderly patient flow
- Handle patient concerns or complaints calmly and escalate when necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience as a receptionist or front-office executive in a hospital or healthcare facility
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Familiarity with hospital procedures, medical terminology, and insurance processes
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment
