The Role

As a Fence Truck Driver & Installation Crew Member, you'll be a key part of our field team — hauling materials to job sites across the region, assisting experienced installers, and learning the trade from the ground up. This is a hands-on role with real growth potential. No fencing experience is required; we'll teach you everything you need to know.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a company truck to transport fencing materials, tools, and equipment to job sites throughout Whatcom County and northwest Washington
• Load and unload materials including posts, panels, hardware, and power tools
• Assist crew members with fence and gate installation across a variety of product types (wood, chain link, vinyl, aluminum, ornamental steel, and more)
• Learn basic carpentry skills including measuring, cutting, and fastening
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and trailer — equipment is your responsibility on the road
• Follow job site safety protocols and company standards at all times
• Represent Fence Brothers professionally when interacting with customers on-site
• Support the team with digging, setting posts, attaching panels, and cleanup

What We're Looking For

• Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record — this is a firm requirement
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain a drug-free status throughout employment
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn fence installation, carpentry, and related construction skills
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic — our crews depend on each other
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions (lifting up to 80 lbs, digging, bending, kneeling)
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small crew
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Prior construction, landscaping, or trades experience is a plus — but not required
• Can crush it when working outdoors in brutal conditions all season.
