Fertilization & Irrigation Team Leader
Job description
Campbell Landscaping is hiring a Fertilization & Irrigation Technician to join our growing team of professionals. We are seeking a motivated individual to complete our fertilization program and perform Irrigation service and installation at our client’s residential, commercial and multi-family properties around the Canton area. This is labor intensive which will require you to work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Fertilization –
- Must be able to drive our trucks and haul trailers.
- Complete scheduled fertilization route using dry and liquid fertilizer and herbicides
- Follow ODA requirements
- Be able to identify weeds and diseases in turf and treat them properly
- Assist with routing
- Keeps management informed by maintaining industry specific software
- Strives to meet or beat budgeted hours and material on all jobs, while keeping top quality consistent
Irrigation – A plus, but not required
- Irrigation system design and installation
- System maintenance and repairs
- Irrigation inventory
- Assists with estimating
- Keeps management informed by maintaining industry specific software

Qualifications/Skills:
- Fertilization and herbicide knowledge and machine usage
- Irrigation system design and flow rates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Industry specific knowledge on landscape maintenance and construction
- Ability to use computer programs
- Clean Driver’s license
- Ability to work alone and with others
- Positive attitude and the desire to be the best at what you do
- Flexibility with helping out other teams and crews in the company when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Care for and enjoy the outdoors
On-the-job training offered.
A high school diploma or GED
A valid, unrestricted Ohio Driver’s license, always maintain
1-3 years of horticultural field experience
A working knowledge of standard construction and/or horticultural practices
Verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling.
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
