Fiberglass Laminator (Experienced)

Position Overview: We seek a skilled and experienced Fiberglass Laminator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment, specifically in the fiberglass laminating process. This role involves working with composite materials to produce high-quality fiberglass parts and components for various industries, including automotive, marine, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• create fiberglass products or parts.
• Cut, trim, and shape fiberglass sheets to required specifications.
• Apply resin to fiberglass fabric and ensure proper bonding, creating a smooth and durable finish.
• Operate laminating equipment and tools to apply and cure the fiberglass layers.
• Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments to improve appearance and strength.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Mix and prepare resin and hardeners according to specified ratios and project requirements.
• Work from blueprints or technical drawings to meet precise measurements and specifications.
• Ensure all materials are properly stored and handled to prevent damage and waste.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production schedules are met.
• Troubleshoot issues with the laminating process and suggest improvements or solutions.
• Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality control, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a fiberglass laminator, ideally in a factory or production environment.
• Familiarity with composite materials and laminating techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality products.
• Experience working with resin, gel coats, and other materials used in fiberglass fabrication.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to fiberglass work.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with various departments.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and work with heavy fiberglass materials.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
