Field and Lab Technician

Aquatic Analytics, a small water testing laboratory in Summerville, is hiring a full or part time Field and Lab Technician. We are a small team that can offer great experience doing a variety of tasks. Field activities include driving your vehicle to construction sites, businesses or homes, collecting water samples, and performing basic tests in the field. Lab duties include sample intake, setting up bacteriological tests, and performing various basic bacterial and chemical tests. Candidate must become proficient with lab equipment including the pH meter and colorimeter.

Job Qualifications:

· Excellent time management, consistent attention to detail, and good communication skills.

· Some college preferred but not required.

· Basic computer and math skills.

· Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Ability to work independently.

· Aility to lift 20 lbs and walk in rugged terrain; sometimes work in inclement weather.

· Candidates must possess valid driver’s license, have excellent driving record, and dependable vehicle.

Pay is $20.00/hr plus reimbursement for miles driven and gas. If part time, the hours would be 4 days a week, from 8-4 or 8-5 each day. No weekend work is required.
