Position

The Field Assistant will work closely with the Agronomist to align tasks, ensure proper implementation of trial requirements, and contribute to the successful operation and performance of the facility

The primary project location is Al Badaa, Tabuk Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Requirements

Academic: Diploma in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in agricultural or field trial environments, including plot setup, sampling, and routine field operations.

Key Responsibilities

This role supports the agronomist in all crops, elemental and greenhouse trial activities. The position will work closely with the Agronomist to align tasks, ensure proper implementation of trial requirements, and contribute to the successful operation and performance of the facility. The key responsibilities:

• Assist the agronomist in the planning, setup, and execution of field and greenhouse trials, including planting, irrigation layout, maintenance, and harvesting activities.

• Support both field and greenhouse experimental work by carrying out routine trial operations, ensuring adherence to protocols, and contributing to overall trial performance.

• Collect soil, plant, and biosolid samples, and ensure proper handling and transport for laboratory analysis.

• Perform field and greenhouse measurements and accurately document environmental conditions and plant health data.

• Maintain and organize field and greenhouse equipment, tools, and trial materials to ensure readiness and proper functioning.

• Establish and maintain research plots, including operating machinery as required.

• Execute routine plot maintenance activities (non-experimental), including biosolid application and general upkeep.

• Support irrigation, fertilization, and plant care activities by implementing trial-specific requirements as directed by the agronomist.

• Coordinate irrigation needs for research plots by communicating requirements and ensuring alignment with the personnel responsible for irrigation system operation (e.g., ground care facility technician).
