Job Title: Field Compliance Coordinator (Gas Plants Environment)


Job Overview: As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining full environmental compliance with applicable environmental requirements and government regulations. You will implement waste management plans for hazardous, non-hazardous, and special wastes, including waste minimization, segregation, storage, transport, and disposal activities. Your role involves conducting field audits and inspections, reviewing air emissions monitoring, wastewater sampling, and soil assessments, and ensuring timely corrective actions. You will lead environmental spill response coordination, root cause analysis, and maintain site-specific spill prevention and control measures. Additionally, you will conduct regular environmental inspections and audits, promote proactive environmental management culture, deliver environmental inductions and awareness campaigns, and prepare environmental performance reports while maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS) in compliance with ISO 14001 standards.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, Science, Industrial, or a related discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent. A Master’s Degree or PhD is preferable.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in environmental operations, with at least 7 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Preferred certifications include ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, and Hazardous Waste Management Certification (e.g., Hazardous Waste Permit Awareness).
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) principles.
  • Environmental management certification.
  • Comprehensive legal and regulatory knowledge concerning environmental matters.
  • Attention to detail with a keen eye for environmental compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Skills in training and motivating colleagues.
  • Familiarity with time reporting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of project control.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify areas requiring environmental improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to multitask effectively.
