We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Field Data & Cost Control Analyst to support our operations team by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accountability of daily field reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining clean data, improving cost tracking, and reinforcing field discipline through timecard and job reporting oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and audit daily timecards for accuracy and completeness
- Verify proper cost coding of labor hours in alignment with project scopes and budgets
- Check quantities entered for accuracy against expected production
- Validate equipment hours and ensure correct allocation to cost codes
- Review jobsite photos, notes, and descriptions for clarity, completeness, and usefulness
- Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing information in daily reports
- Compile and submit daily summary reports highlighting issues, trends, and areas for improvement
- Communicate directly with foremen to clarify entries, ask questions, and resolve discrepancies
- Manage and take ownership of the reporting system to ensure consistency and reliability

- As this individual improves reporting accuracy and creates efficiencies within the system, they will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and play a larger role in supporting operations and company initiatives.
Qualifications that will make you succeed in this role:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies quickly
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to have direct, professional conversations with field personnel and fleet manager
- Basic understanding of construction operations, cost tracking, or willingness to learn!
- Comfortable working with digital reporting systems and spreadsheets
