This position is located at the Chevron Egypt Lubricants plant in 6th October City, Giza, Egypt. The field HSE specialist provides technical consultation and strategic direction to the workforce, project teams and leadership on a wide range of HSE issues spanning the design, construction/fabrication, operations and decommissioning of company assets. Collaborates with HSE Team and Operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manages risk, and assures safeguards are in place and functioning. Includes positions that cover health, safety & environment responsibilities.
Job Description:
- Reporting to the EAMESA and Global Marine HSE Team Lead, this position is responsible for providing HSE expertise and guidance to Egypt Fuels and Lubricants leadership and operations regarding safe work practices to manage risks and protect the environment. Additional responsibilities include executing risk reduction plan recommendations, conducting assurance activities, supporting emergency management and response at the country level, overseeing contractor qualification and daily contractor management, preparing internal and external environmental reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing changes, tracking actions, and delivering all OE/HSE related trainings.
Additional Job Description:
Possess strong technical expertise and field experience in delivering HSE regulatory guidance to Operations, Engineering, and HSE teams, enabling the development of risk-based compliance solutions aligned with local environmental laws, regulations, and standards. Demonstrated track record in supporting and managing safe work practices, Management of Change (MOC), risk management, as well as emergency response and incident investigations. Proficient in data collection and analysis, root cause identification, and formulation of sustainable corrective actions. Experienced in planning and managing complex, high-risk projects at plant level, ensuring proper implementation of critical safety safeguards.
Exhibit proven ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, including Human and Organizational Performance principles. Well-versed in Egypt’s health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Academic Qualification and Work experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s in HSE or engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in a chemical plant, refinery, or as an HSE professional in major O&G downstream companies.
Alternatively: Diploma or equivalent in HSE or engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
- Provide on-call or emergency business support outside regular hours.
