Field HVAC Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field HVAC Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service across various commercial and residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment, enhance energy efficiency, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems such as pipe fittings, drainage issues, and water supply lines.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper system operation.
• Operate welding equipment for repairs or modifications of metal parts within HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommendations.
• Drive safely between job sites to ensure timely service delivery in various locations.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or upgrades.
• Proven service technician experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base in HVAC/R systems.
• Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles during troubleshooting or installation.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration for industrial applications.
• Skilled in plumbing tasks related to property maintenance and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with appliance repair techniques relevant to heating or cooling units.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience operating equipment such as welders, ohmmeters, boilers, and other maintenance tools.
• Field service experience handling property maintenance tasks efficiently across diverse environments.
• Strong understanding of air conditioning systems, boiler operation, and overall mechanical system functionality.
• Experience working with property managers or clients to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs. Pay: $27.64 - $48.00 per hour
