Field Hydrographic Data Specialist
Position Purpose
Primarily responsible for leading and supervising hydrographic survey operations in the field and coordinating post-fieldwork data processing in the office. This position involves overseeing the field operations, ensuring the accuracy of data collection, and transcribing and analyzing data for reporting purposes for the project. The position requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to adapt to both field and office environments.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk long distances while carrying equipment, sometimes through rugged terrain, mud, or swamp; drive and/or ride in a boat; sit; balance, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds; use hands to operate, handle, maneuver and/or manipulate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; use manual dexterity to operate equipment; talk and hear; Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the associate primarily works outdoors and is regularly exposed to various weather conditions. The role involves riding in a boat, frequently encountering noise, dust, odors, and other environmental factors typical of such settings. Office duties are performed in a standard office environment, involving prolonged use of computers and data-processing tools.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, requiring 40+ hours per week. Nights and weekend commitments to the firm, its associates, and clients are required.
