Field Maintenance

Job Summary

The Field Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the on-site installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of all electronic and mechanical systems across the motorway. This role serves as the first line of defense, ensuring that all tolling, surveillance, and traffic management systems are operational. The engineer performs on-site repairs and coordinates the transport of faulty hardware to the Lab Facility for advanced servicing.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Troubleshooting: Respond to system failures and perform immediate diagnostics on motorway equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections of site hardware to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Equipment Removal & Replacement: Uninstall faulty units (PCs, Cameras, Barrier Arms) and replace them with functional spares from the store to keep lanes running.
  • Logistics Coordination: Tag and document faulty equipment before sending it to the Lab Facility for repair.
  • System Testing: Verify the integration of repaired equipment once reinstalled on-site.

Maintain proper records of:

  • Daily site visit logs and fault reports.
  • Inventory of on-site spare parts.
  • Response times and resolution status for critical failures.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all field work is conducted following motorway safety protocols and traffic management guidelines.

Equipment Handled

Barrier Machines, Toll Booth PCs, IP Cameras (PTZ & Fixed), M-Tag Readers, Lane Signal Lights, Variable Message Signs (VMS), Network Switches, and Power Backup Systems (UPS/Solar).

Qualification Requirements

Minimum 3-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.

Skills & Competencies

  • Field Expertise: Strong ability to diagnose hardware and connectivity issues in outdoor environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
