Field Maintenance Mechanic

Description:

The Field Maintenance Mechanic must be skilled to support the upkeep and maintenance of multiple PRC residential properties. This mobile role requires travel between sites and collaboration with a team of mechanics based on business needs. The ideal candidate is hands-on, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality service to our residents across locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to various PRC properties to address maintenance needs and support ongoing initiatives
• Collaborate with fellow mechanics and property teams to maintain buildings and grounds
• Identify and repair maintenance issues with professionalism and attention to detail
• Communicate effectively with residents, site staff, and supervisors
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including:
• Light carpentry
• Basic electrical and plumbing repairs
• Sheetrock repair and spackling
• Flooring replacement and painting
• Complete service work orders, prepare units for turnover, clean common areas, remove trash, and assist with snow and ice removal as needed
• Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency repairs

Requirements:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Personal set of tools required
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team across multiple locations
