The Field Marketing Strategist is a critical liaison between Watermark Retirement Communities' corporate marketing team and our portfolio of senior living communities. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of local marketing efforts utilizing standardized companywide strategies, systems and best practices to drive community-specific lead goals. By providing direction and expertise, the Field Marketing Strategist ensures that national marketing creative and media programs are effectively tailored to and implemented within each community's unique market, service lines and positioning. This role is the "go to" for the marketing team to understand the nuances of each community and markets we serve.

Key Outcomes for Success:

  • Increased Lead and Tour Volumes: Directly contribute to achieving or exceeding community-specific lead and tour goals for a portfolio of 12-15 communities based on lead and tour volume growth and lead to tour conversion rates.
  • Enhanced Marketing Efficiency: Drive down the cost per lead (CPL) by optimizing local marketing activities and ensuring resources are used productively.
  • Improved Digital Footprint: Grow user traffic to community websites and increase inbound phone calls and form submissions for your assigned communities working closely with subject matter experts within the marketing team.
  • Effective Localized Marketing Execution: Ensure all corporate marketing campaigns are successfully adapted and executed at the local level, aligning with brand standards while nuancing for unique community-specific needs.
  • Strong Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community-level sales teams and executive directors, as well as the corporate marketing department, to foster a cohesive and results-driven program. Gather input and insights from them, the regional directors of sales and the managing directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community-Level Collaboration: Partner with community Executive Directors and sales teams to nuance and execute hyper-local marketing plans produced from national strategies and systems.
  • Corporate Marketing Team Collaboration: Serve as the voice of the communities and providing crucial feedback on the effectiveness of corporate campaigns and the specific needs of local markets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • +8 years of experience in a field marketing, regional marketing, or similar B2C marketing role, preferably within a multi-location or franchise-based organization.
  • Experience in the senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or real estate industries is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful local marketing campaigns that have delivered measurable results.
  • Proficiency with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM software) and a solid understanding of digital marketing channels (social media, local SEO, paid ads).
  • Willingness to travel a maximum of 10% of the time to communities within the designated portfolio.
