Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair our trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment. This position plays a key role in keeping our equipment running safely and efficiently—both in the shop and out in the field when needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair company vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Perform routine maintenance and equipment inspections
- Respond to breakdowns and complete field repairs as needed
- Ensure all work meets safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements
- Order parts and maintain accurate service records
- Keep shop and work areas clean and organized
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; technical certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems including diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repairs in varied weather conditions.
Additional Information
- Work is performed in both indoor shop environments and outdoor field settings.
- May require overtime, weekend, or on-call availability depending on job demands.
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
