Field Operations Delivery Driver

This is a Full-Time Delivery Associate position for delivering packages for FedEx Ground!

• Commercial, DOT, CDL (or work-related) driving experience is a plus but not mandatory

Benefits & Scheduling: $150 - $200 per day for a guaranteed 6 work days per week (paid Weekly)

This job is physically demanding, fast paced and requires integrity, organization and high energy. Drivers must be safe, show up to work daily, possess excellent customer service skills, be professional, detail-oriented, a team player and enjoy driving and delivering. Training is provided.

Minimum Requirements: Class C driver's license. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check, pass a drug screening test and DOT physical exam and have one year experience driving a 16 foot box truck (minimum) or larger or other commercial truck vehicle. Driver must possess excellent customer service skills, be able to complete daily deliveries and pickups and be able to lift and carry up to 150 lbs up and down stairs.

Experience Needed: One verifiable year of commercial driving experience within the past three years; five years verifiable commercial driving experience within the past ten years. Or, a successful completion of a vendor driving school plus six months verifiable commercial driving experience within the previous three years. NO CDL needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: Successfully handle and deliver packages on time

· Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to deliver packages to designated locations.

· Load and unload packages.

· Plan and follow the most efficient route for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.

· Verify the accuracy of packages and ensure proper documentation for each delivery.

· Provide exceptional customer service by being polite, professional, and accommodating during deliveries.

· Collaborate with the dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and communicate any delays or issues promptly.

· Maintain the cleanliness and regular maintenance of the delivery vehicle.

· Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor immediately.

· Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding delivery operations and safety protocols.

· Represent the organization in a positive manner at all times, maintaining a professional image.

• Safely drive and perform safety inspections on company vehicle; follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
• Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions; lift packages (up to 150 lbs); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
• Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
• Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
• Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes

Requirements: ****Must be at least 21 years old

• Must have held state driver’s license for at least 4 years
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass a 5-Panel Drug Screening
• Must have a clean motor vehicle report. (Multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
• Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills

• 8-10 hour shift (Depends on how soon Route is completed)

• Holidays (Only days off are Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and New Year's Day)
• Choice of either Sunday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Saturday
• No nights
• Weekends Required (At least 1 Weekend day per week)
• Year round work
