Position Summary

Priano is seeking a Field Project Assistant to serve as the company’s eyes in the field for new construction and remodeling projects. This role supports the Project Coordinators and Operations Manager by visiting active job sites to verify site readiness, perform field measurements, inspect installation progress and quality, document deficiencies, and help ensure projects are ready for walkthroughs, punch completion, and closeout.

This position is focused on interior finishes, with flooring as the core trade, and additional exposure to cabinetry, countertops, wall coverings, waterproofing systems, plumbing fixtures, appliances, window treatments, and related finish details being highly valuable. The ideal candidate has practical knowledge of flooring and jobsite conditions, a sharp eye for detail, the ability to read scopes of work and job documentation, and the professionalism to interact effectively with builders, site superintendents, homeowners, and installation teams. This person will help identify issues before and during installation, support quality control efforts, and provide timely field updates using company-issued technology.

We are looking for someone who is motivated to learn, eager to perform, and ready to take ownership of their work in the field. The right candidate will join a strong and supportive team, work closely with an experienced Operations Manager and Project Coordinators, and have exposure to ownership as part of a growing company committed to quality, accountability, and professional development.

Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Installation Field Verification

  • Evaluate substrate and site conditions, including whether floors are level and whether conditions are suitable for the planned installation
  • Perform or document moisture testing and other pre-install checks when required by product specifications or company process
  • Identify site issues that may delay installation or create quality or warranty concerns, and report them promptly

Installation Progress and Quality Control

  • Help verify that work appears consistent with manufacturer requirements and sound installation practices

  • Monitor installation progress in the field and communicate status updates promptly
  • Help ensure installations are acceptable to the builder, superintendent, homeowner, and company standards before closeout

Builder, Superintendent, and Homeowner Walkthroughs

  • Walk jobs with builders’ site superintendents as needed
  • Participate in field walkthroughs, final inspections, and homeowner walkthroughs prior to closing when directed
  • Communicate professionally and clearly on-site while representing the company well
  • Escalate concerns appropriately and avoid making unauthorized commitments on pricing, schedule, scope, or responsibility

Documentation and Reporting

  • Read and interpret scopes of work, work orders, plans, elevations, and related project records
  • Document site conditions, progress, deficiencies, and completed work using checklists, notes, photos, and videos
  • Use the company-provided laptop with cellular connectivity to submit timely reports during or immediately following inspections
  • Keep clear, organized records by job, room, date, and issue type so the operations team can act quickly
  • Provide timely updates to the Project Coordinators and Operations Manager so corrective action can be coordinated without delay

Installer Accountability and Closeout Support

  • Confirm whether deficiencies appear to be installer-responsibility items, site-condition issues, or items requiring internal review
  • Help verify whether punch and corrective work has been completed properly
  • Understand that installers are responsible for completing their contracted scope, including punch work and correction of installation-related issues
  • Provide useful field feedback that helps improve installation quality, reduce callbacks, and prevent recurring issues

Jobsite Safety and Professional Conduct
