Job description:

The Field Project Manager works with the Project Team to manage projects at jobsites with installation teams. The Field Project Manager is the main Point of Contact for the General Contractor, Installation Supervisor, and other trades for all phases of installation.

The ideal candidate is service-minded, a problem solver, and can manage countless details while always working well with all members of the project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact and communicator for project including weekly and monthly reports with progress photos (we like lots of pictures), identify issues before they happen, and find solutions
  • Provide on-site project management for installation teams
  • Coordinate Project Management activities with schedules for client, architects, engineers, designers, the factory, and state and local jurisdiction
  • Attend site visits for bid opportunities, field verifications, and site readiness.
  • Attend OAC meetings as lead for project communications
  • Read and understand bid documents and specifications
  • Articulate essential items and make recommendations for exclusions and inclusions
  • Protect project profitability and success
  • Manage field change orders with Client, General Contractor, and communicate timely back to the internal project team.
  • Lead punch process and manage through complete resolution in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate and manage procurement and logistic schedules with Project Team.
  • Manage Installation to meet required completion timeline.
  • Provide information to Project Coordinator on a timely basis to process accurate and complete pay-apps and/or direct client invoicing
  • Ensure quality standards and requirements are met on every project
  • Assess and develop relationships with vendors, industry peers, and influencers.
  • Travel to out-of-state project sites when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission
  • Construction industry related project management skills and/or construction management education
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Ability to communicate on a technical and professional level with project stakeholders
  • Strong client-facing skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules (including Gantt charts), and step-by-step action plans
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and structural plans, as well as working knowledge of the local Building Code and Uniform Building Code (UBC)
  • Understanding and/or working knowledge of Revit, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PMP, CMT, or Project management certification is a plus
  • Adaptable and willing to continually embrace new technologies to help improve the design and construction process

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
