Job Title: Field Purchase Officer – Coco Peat

Job Summary:

Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring quality coco pith raw materials (husks, pith blocks, etc.) from suppliers and farmers at competitive rates, ensuring timely supply to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and develop reliable suppliers/farmers for coco husk and raw pith materials.

2. Visit supplier sites to assess quality and availability of raw materials.

3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

4. Monitor daily raw material inflow and maintain stock levels as per production needs.

5. Coordinate with transporters for smooth and timely delivery.

6. Inspect received materials for quality and ensure they meet company standards (moisture, purity, color, etc.).

7. Maintain purchase records, supplier database, and payment follow-ups.

8. Prepare daily and monthly purchase reports.

9. Work closely with production and accounts teams to align supply and payment schedules.

10. Ensure compliance with company policies, cost control, and quality norms.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Any Degree / Diploma in Agriculture, Commerce, or related field.

2. 2–5 years of experience in raw material procurement (preferably in coir/coco peat or agro industry).

3. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

4. Knowledge of coco pith grading, moisture, and quality parameters.

5. Proficiency in MS Office / ERP for purchase documentation.

6. Willingness to travel to supplier/farmer locations regularly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 per month
