Lead with purpose: build safer sites, stronger teams

Do you believe practical, well-delivered training can transform job sites? As our Field Safety Programs Manager, you’ll architect and deliver the safety education that powers our Dairy and Grain field operations—keeping teams confident, certified, and prepared.

Your mission

Own the safety training lifecycle—from needs assessment to delivery to continuous improvement—while serving as a trusted advisor in the field.

How you’ll make it happen

Partner with division leadership, project managers, engineers, technical service leads, foremen, and safety peers to map training needs and implement new or expanded programs aligned to regulations. Deliver engaging instruction across formats—classroom, tailgate, and on-the-spot coaching—including forklift and crane certification; bring in vetted outside experts when appropriate. Conduct recurring field safety checks to spot risks early and provide targeted refresher training. Design criteria and systems for documenting and tracking all training and certifications; coordinate with HR to maintain accurate, compliant records. Respond to incidents with rigor: visit sites, complete reports, collect witness statements, and collaborate with HR on employee care, work restrictions, and return-to-work. Continuously reinforce safety expectations and company policies; mentor managers, foremen, and leads to elevate culture. Represent Dairy and Grain divisions on safety matters and support other divisions as needed. Execute special projects and additional duties; always present yourself professionally.

What sets you up for success

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. plus 2 years of higher education, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in a safety role within construction or heavy equipment installation settings.
  • Solid grasp of OSHA and ANSI requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities; apply adult learning principles to make training stick.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish language skills preferred.
