Role Overview

The Field Sales Manager will oversee sales and operations at book fairs and events across multiple cities. This role combines sales leadership, team management, and on-ground execution — ensuring every fair runs smoothly and meets revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue

Drive sales performance at book fairs, achieving daily and event-wise revenue targets.

Implement pricing strategies, upselling, and customer engagement techniques.

Monitor per kg / per book sales and optimize displays for better conversion.

2. Team Management

Lead and motivate Field Supervisors, Sales Executives, and Support Staff.

Assign clear roles during fairs — billing, stock management, crowd handling, etc.

Conduct on-site training to improve customer interaction and billing efficiency.

3. Event Execution

Plan and execute book fairs in malls and colleges.

Coordinate with event organizers, mall management and college representatives.

Oversee setup (stall layout, banners, category zoning) and ensure timely dismantling.

4. Inventory & Operations

Manage stock movement, listing, and reconciliation post-event.

Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and reporting.

Maintain checklists for logistics, packing, and display standards.

5. City Expansion & Relationship Building

Explore and finalize new venues for book fairs.

Build strong relationships with partners, mall teams, and colleges for repeat events.

Represent UsedBookR professionally as the face of the brand at every location.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (BBA, BCom, or related field preferred).

5-10 years of experience in field sales, retail, or event operations.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Comfortable with frequent travel and extended field hours.

Prior experience in FMCG, retail, or event execution is a plus.

Preferred Skills

Sales conversion and customer engagement.

Team leadership under pressure.

Knowledge of POS/billing systems and Excel reports.

Ability to plan logistics and manage multiple locations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
