POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Sales Support (FSS) is primarily tasked with supporting customers with the implementation and maintenance of data collection from water meter cellular AMI (advanced metering infrastructure) and drive-by AMR (automated meter reading) systems from Badger Meter. This is a remote and mobile position, which visits customer utilities to educate, train and troubleshoot maintenance concerns with these systems.
This person works in a highly collaborative environment with other internal resources and external partners — the FPG and Badger Meter inside and outside sales and their support staff — to meet the needs of water & wastewater utility customers.
Customer concerns are first received by the Customer Support Specialist (CSS) on the Inside Sales staff or the Territory Sales Manager (TSM) directly. If they are unable to resolve the issue, a call may be elevated to the FSS to schedule a site visit.
While the majority of calls will be associated with the industry leading Badger Meter flow meters (ORION) and its associated AMR and AMI data collection technologies (BEACON), training will be provided for the leak detection and water analytics products for a wide range of parameters — including temperature, pressure, turbidity, BOD, COD, TOC, DOC, pH, turbidity, free chlorine, et al — from Syrinix, s::can, ATi, Telog and SmartCover (also Badger Meter brands) and a variety of supporting product lines.
This position reports directly to the FPG President with a dotted line report to the Water Division Sales Team Lead.
