Field Service Coordinator

Main Responsibilities Dispatch Duties

A dispatcher coordinates field service operations by:

  • Receiving service requests
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Assigning technicians based on location, skill, and availability
  • Monitoring technician routes and job status
  • Handling emergency or priority calls
  • Updating work orders and service records
  • Communicating delays or schedule changes

Customer Service Duties

The customer service side focuses on client communication by:

  • Answering phone calls, emails, or chats
  • Explaining services and pricing
  • Resolving complaints or concerns
  • Providing appointment updates
  • Following up after service completion
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction

Typical Daily Tasks

A normal day might include:

  • Taking inbound service calls
  • Entering jobs and invoices into dispatch software
  • Contacting technicians throughout the day
  • Managing schedule conflicts
  • Calming frustrated customers
  • Tracking completed jobs and invoices
  • Coordinating with management and field teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
