Field Service & Customer Support Specialist (Water Systems – No Programming Required)

About Us

Metering & Technology Solutions (MTS) is a growing, family-owned company based in Burnsville, MN. We provide water meter systems and technology to cities and utilities across the Upper Midwest.

The Role

This is a customer-facing, hands-on role — not a desk-only or call-center position. The Field Service & Customer Support Specialist works directly with customers and internal staff to ensure products are understood, supported, and successfully used. Technical knowledge is important, but the ability to communicate clearly, teach confidently, and follow issues through to completion is critical.

What You’ll Do

- Provide phone and onsite support to city and utility customers

- Troubleshoot field devices

- Train customers and lead small group sessions

- Travel to job sites

- Work with internal team to resolve issues

- Support teammates as needed in various roles around the office

Training & Presentation Component

The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting and teaching small groups. Backgrounds in teaching or coaching are a strong plus.

What This Job Is NOT

This is NOT an IT or programming role. No coding required.

- Occasional overnight travel

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites

- Acceptable driving record

- Ability to pass a background check

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
