Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer your main functions/tasks will be:

Be relied upon for troubleshooting support for non-routine problems in the system.

Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical components.

Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control components.
-
Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty systems.
-
Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system.
-
Execution of preventive maintenance (both electrical and mechanical)
-
Reporting of executed maintenance activities
-
Analysis of system errors
-
Replacements of machine spare parts.
-
Reporting of problems and maintenance activities that need attention.
-
Attending to call outs, faults, alarms, and warnings and monitor system from the Control Room.

Compliance with all Vanderlande programs, policies, and procedures.
-
Perform other duties / assignments that might be occasionally required by the management.
Job Requirements:

Electrical License
-
Construction/Maintenance Electrician License is required
-
Experience of supporting automated systems with a proficient level of electro- mechanical skills
-
Electrical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills, including the replacement and configuration of field devices.

Mechanical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills.
-
Experience with electrical schematics / wiring diagrams.
-
Skilled in the use of standard electrical test instruments.
-
Relevant vocational and / or technical qualifications.

Ability to read diagrams, electrical drawings, operation manuals and manufacturers specifications

Knowledge of use of hand tools, precision measuring and testing instruments.
-
Flexibility with time, able to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs.

Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Customer and service oriented.
-
Working knowledge of computers and equipment.
-
Ability to solve problems under pressure.

Pro-active attitude towards process improvement
